The configuration of this amp is really simple. At the rear, it also has 8 dip switches to operate in the overdrive sounds. It also has an overdrive that is not bad, but a distortion pedals to make when even much better. Are the three colors: treble, middle and serious, clear sound volume, the reverb and a chorus that is activated by a push button. T it would make more sense to switch to a prvoir distortion. In faade, we also find a headphone jack, line in, line out and a decision to enable or disable the reverb with a foot switch. It also has an RCA output base.įaade entries are two in number. The rear output is conection with 2 Stereo jack 6.35 mono. Dlivre power indicated by the manufacturer is 80 watts Stros. The Dean Markley DMC 80 is a transistor amp. I would say only hardcore fans of solid-state should pick this up, everybody else should probably stick to good amps.

I just don't think it sounds that great, and for seasoned players, tone becomes very important. This amp is pretty cheap, and for that it's a good deal. And typical of solid-state amps with tons of effects, I just prefer amps that have a bright, cutting tone that captures the edge of my playing. If you are looking for very cookie-cutter, cliche tones that have minimal character, this is right up your alley. I really think this is kind of a weak amp. For the price, I couldn't believe all the features and the good reviews. I was expecting more out of this amp for all the good things I heard about them at the time.

The manual lays out all the details of this amp nicely. The effects are tough to get a hold on at first, but eventually you can get used to them. Most players tend to find their sweet spot and stick with that for the most part though. Getting the particular sound that you need for different genres is pretty easy with this amp. There are a bunch of effects, chorus, flanger, reverb, delay, etc. There are two 1/4" inputs, and 1/4" jacks for headphones, footswitch, line in and out. This amp has about 100 watts total, 50 for each channel (clean and distorted).

That company has been able to branch out into a lot of different musical products, my favorites are their Blue Steel series of electric guitar strings. This is a solid-state amp made by Dean Markley. This is One Of The Better SS amps that I've Owned! Is Not a bedroom amp,its very Loud,it needs to be played to show what it can do! I have owned manyĭifferent amps over the years, both SS and Tube. In my opinion, the DMC80 is very close to a Tube Amp without the large cost. The Dean Markley guitar amps have been discontinued for some time, but.they still make a Acoustic This canĬhange the voicing of this amp to suit the player,so.options are up to you! The K Series DMC80 has a Drive Voicing Module switch located in the rear panel of the amp. Some Reverb and it Shines! The Drive(Boost) Channel is strong, but I bought the amp for its cleans! I rate the characteristics of the Dean Markley DMC80 Guitar Amp at a Strong 8.Įven though the amp is a Solid State rig,it has a really good clean channel, smooth and creamy. I mean the tone is not bad with the stock speaker but I think there's potential with a better speaker.Dean Markley DMC80 Stereo/Chorus 2x10.

I wouldn't say that the tone is great ( plus no reverb) but I think with a new speaker and cab, it could be a decent little amp. Much better then my other amp (mustang I).

In fact, I'm surprised at how dynamic this little amp is. The clean channel starts to break up at around 7 but I can get the same kinda tone at lower volumes on the dirty channel and backing off the volume. The drive channel is not too bad either, in fact I think I liked the dirty channel best just playing straight into the amp (I don't really have any pedals). The clean channel is decent but a little too trebly for my tastes. Everything seems to work including the foot switch jack. First off, the pots weren't really a problem tonight, so that was good. So tonight I got some time to actually play the amp through the speaker.
